How hospital and doctor profiles are verified

A profile begins as unverified and cannot be indexed. A data verifier checks identity, official contact details, location, affiliations, and relevant services against attributable sources. The profile records what was checked, how it was checked, and when it should be checked again.

"Source checked" describes our data process. It does not mean the provider is better than another provider, and it does not predict an individual outcome. We do not publish "best hospital" or "top doctor" rankings, and payment never changes a listing.
